What an exciting place! We here at Jewel Lake Bed and Breakfast try and send all of our guests to this great Alaskan experience. Each guest that returns is overwhelmed with what they learned from their visit. Guest spend from a few hours to all day taking in all the great things at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
Visitors to the Alaska Native Heritage Center are introduced to native traditions and customs of both the past and present.
The Welcome House is a celebration of contemporary Alaska Native cultures while the outside facilities and sites allow the exploration of ancient tradition and the presentation of stories from the past.
You will get to see the dancers move to the echo of an ancient drum. While walking around the exhibits indoors you will hear the songs and stories passed down through generations. Outside the man made lake you will walk the path of yesterday while touring five authentic village sites.
